Jumbo Seafood at Block 11 Dempsey Road

Rene the eternally dependable Organiser, Fern the Birthday Girl, Darren the Midnight Rider who saves Nanfang the brave trekker amongst terracotta warriors of Dempsey, Dee, author of this site and Ken her husband.Increasingly as we age, birthdays are about spending time together more that it is about Parties, Getting Drunk into Oblivion leading to embarrassing Exposes of a most unbloggable kind.
So in respectable style, we had an honourable dinner party for the ever adorable Cynthia Tan Sing Fern. The only disrespect at the table must have been the way we were furiously sucking away at our black pepper-laced fingers and OOH all that double-dipping! Even then, there was a distinct character disembodying whole crabs with her chopsticks.
There is such comfort in knowing that with every birthday, with each year that passes, the people who sit at this table do so with the same steadfast love that celebrates YOU for just being you. This is the closest to family as people can get.
So here's to a good one this year, Fern! This has been a year of many new chapters for you. May you have many new adventures to share. Mostly, and for all of us too, let's be, in Alphaville's most famous words, "Forever Young".
